DPS At a Glance


Thank you for your interest in Deming Public Schools.  Our schools have approximately 5300 students enrolled.  The district provides a variety of educational programs to meet the needs of our multi-ethnic community and socioeconomic structure.  DPS employs 788 staff members, 301 teachers; 125 educational assistants and 362 support personnel. 


The district is structured in a K-5, 6, 7-8, 9-12 configuration with one exception, Columbus Elementary, which is a K-6 school.  The educational facilities are as follows:

  • Six Elementary Schools – Bataan Elementary, Bell Elementary, Chaparral Elementary, Columbus Elementary, Memorial Elementary and Ruben S. Torres Elementary
