Harvielee Moore's instructional leadership is devoted to providing equitable opportunities for all students enrolled in Deming Public Schools. Her goals also include providing support to all school site leaders and staff. She is committed to working with community and public to support the improvement efforts she leads. Harvielee became Superintendent of Deming Public Schools in August of 2004. Before that she served the district as Associate Superintendent of Instruction and Curriculum for 12 years and was chair of the English Department at Deming High School where she taught for many years.
Harvielee is a past president of New Mexico Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, a past president of Phi Delta Kappa and Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
An innovative leader, Harvielee was selected "State Administrator of the Year" by NMASCD in 2002 and was recognized by the New Mexico Coalition of School Administrators at the annual conference. She was also selected as " 2002 Administrator of the Year" for Deming Public Schools.
Harvielee serves on the New Mexico Association of School Superintendents' Legislative Committee 2005-2006.
Harvielee continues to remain dedicated to the success of Deming Public Schools. Her door is open to staff, students, parents and community at all times.

Welcome back to a new school year! Buildings are clean and ready for the return of our students; staff members are prepared and organized in readiness for a great year; buses are washed and serviced waiting to transport students to and from school from all over the county; breakfast and lunch menus are planned and balanced. We await the arrival of our students who will come with their pencils sharpened and backpacks filled, their eyes full of wonder and excitement for the beginning of another year in their journey to graduation and post high school success. Parents, please remember the importance of getting your children to school every day, rested and ready for learning. Your positive support assuring their participation and commitment to being responsible students is one of the most important indicators of student academic success. We encourage you to continue to work closely with your son’s or daughter’s teachers, principal and support staff to meet his or her requirements for academic success.
We ask you to remember to observe all safety regulations and speed limits around our schools throughout the year to assure the safety of all of our students.
As we begin this school year, please know that Deming Public Schools continues its commitment to a quality education for all students. Our logo, “Student Success through Staff and Community Togetherness”, reflects our belief that by working together we are stronger, and we achieve more for our students, staff and community. We would not be able to reach the levels of success nor continue the gains we are achieving without the commitment and assistance of our parents and community.
