
Superintendent of Schools
Deming Public Schools, located in beautiful southern New Mexico, is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
MINIUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful Candidate must possess the following qualifications:
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution and a valid New Mexico administrative license or eligibility for a New Mexico administrative license.
• 5 years of teaching experience.
• 5 years of administrative experience demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; bilingual preferred.
• Demonstrated instructional leadership in creating and maintaining schools where all students achieve academic success.
• Experience and knowledge of NM school funding, federal programs, Mil and Capital formulas and the legal aspects of education in New Mexico.
• Proven ability to work with and lead others through collaborative leadership, example and trust.
• The ability to work collaboratively with the Board to enhance school/community relations using effective communication systems.
SALARY: $150,000 - $169,000; Multi-year contract may be available.
CONTRACT: July 1, 2025 or sooner.
