On Wednesday, October 16, Early College High School will have an adjusted schedule for each grade due to PSAT-NMSQT testing. Below are details about testing day:

  • 10th & 11th Grade students will be testing and need to be at ECHS in person.
  • All Juniors have downloaded the BlueBook app which has practice tests students should review. This is the qualifying test for Juniors for the National Merit Scholarships.
  • All Sophomores will take the PSAT as a “pre-test” to help familiarize them with the test. This is a state requirement for all 10th graders this year.
  • This test is also the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). It is required for students to be eligible for a wide variety of scholarships both in NM and nationwide. The qualifying score this past year to be a semi-finalist in New Mexico was a 1360. (But this changes every year by a few points).
  • 9th & 12th Grade students will be doing virtual learning and should stay home
