Deming Public Schools announced today that Mimbres Valley High School (MVHS) will transition into the Mimbres Valley Program (MVP), a dedicated program housed within Deming High School (DHS), effective for the 2025-2026 school year. Following this transition, MVHS will no longer operate as a separate school site.
This move is driven by the district's commitment to enhancing the student experience by fostering a more inclusive environment and expanding opportunities. A key benefit of this transition is providing MVP students with seamless access to the full range of opportunities available on the main DHS campus. This includes all extracurricular activities, clubs, athletic teams, and the comprehensive academic course offerings at Deming High School, ensuring equitable access for all students.
