Early Release of Students on Monday, May 19, 2025, Due to Severe Weather Conditions

Due to anticipated high winds, limited visibility, possible road closures, and in the interest of student safety, all schools within the district will release early on Monday, May 19, 2025. This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
The Early Release Schedule is as follows:
• Secondary School Buses (DIS, RMMS, DHS, ECHS & DCCCHS) from Deming to Columbus and Port of Entry– Released at 11:30 a.m.
• Buses 10, 14, 19 and 7– Released at 11:30 a.m.
• All Pre-K – 5th Grade Elementary Schools – Released at 12:00 p.m.
• RMMS – Released at 12:10 p.m.
• DIS – Released at 12:15 p.m.
• ECHS – Released at 12:15 p.m.
• DCCCHS – Released at 12:15 p.m.
• DHS – Released at 12:30 p.m.
• MVHS – Released at 12:30 p.m.
Important Notes:
• No late route buses will be scheduled for DHS, RMMS, or DIS.
• No After School Programs will be available.
• Students who miss their assigned bus will be directed to their school’s front office to contact their parents or guardians.
For the afternoon, students will be provided with independent work:
• Pre-K - 6th Grade will receive independent practice work aligned to morning instruction.
• 7th-8th Grade will receive independent practice work in Math and ELA.
• 9th-11th Grade students will receive finals review work on Canvas.
