Mission Statement
The mission of the Deming Superintendent of Schools is to serve the community and Board of Education by providing leadership and continuous improvement direction to the faculty, staff, and administration; develop consistent and valid outreach to resources; deliver the district mission and ensure achievement of the district goals resulting in a high quality education for each student.
The Office of the Superintendent oversees all aspects of district business, varying from student to enrollment to making budget each year. Staying current with Federal and State regulations and issues is a key function of the Superintendent's Office. Public Records Information, Home School and Student Visas are also handled by the Superintendent's Office. Community outreach is also an important aspect for our district.
The district is structured in a K-5, 6, 7-8, 9-12 configuration with one exception, Columbus Elementary, which is a K-6 school. The educational facilities are as follows:

One High School – Deming High School
One Middle School – Red Mountain Middle School
One Intermediate School – Deming interMediate School
Six Elementary Schools – Bataan Elementary, Bell Elementary, Chaparral Elementary, Columbus Elementary, Memorial Elementary and Ruben S. Torres Elementary
One 3-4 Year Old Program – My Little School
Thank you for your interest in Deming Public Schools. Our schools have approximately 5300 students enrolled. The district provides a variety of educational programs to meet the needs of our multi-ethnic community and socioeconomic structure. DPS employs 788 staff members, 301 teachers; 125 educational assistants and 362 support personnel.
