Deming Intermediate School would like to remind parents and guardians about important safety precautions during student drop off and pick up times. • Drop off time is 7:45 a.m. • Pick up time is 3:25 p.m. • Please do not block traffic lanes on Pear and Hermanas Grade. Instead, pull onto the shoulder. • Parents cannot walk students out to a waiting vehicle. This is for everyone's safety. • We understand wait times may be long, so we encourage parents to get their students on a bus. Please contact Transportation at (575) 543-1009 to get a bus pass. Jaynes Construction is starting construction work for the My Little School Addition and Renovation Project. During this time there will be increased traffic in the areas of Buckeye, Iron, and Olive Streets. School Bus drop off and pick up area will be unchanged during the project. Please observe all safety signage and exercise caution. There will be heavy equipment and increased traffic in the area. The project is scheduled to be complete by June 30, 2025.

Pre-K Welcome Day will be Monday, July 29, 2024. Pre-K teachers will be contacting parents with more information the week of July 22-26.

Attention all incoming 7th-12th grade girls interested in playing Volleyball in the upcoming 2024 Volleyball Season: Open gym will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday beginning Monday, June 10, 2024. Workouts will be held from 8:00 am -10:00 am in the Main Gym at Deming High School through the end of June. For the month of July open gym will be held at the following times: July 8 -12, 2024 from 9:00 am -11:00 am and July 15-31, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Online registration opens Monday, May 20, 2024, for PreK, Kinder, and new students to the district. The registration website link is available on the Deming Public Schools website www.demingps.org , under Registration. We encourage families to look at the site to become acquainted with the required information and documents needed to complete online registration successfully. All new elementary students are required to register at their boundary school, based on the student’s current address. Please visit www.demingps.org and choose “Registration” at the top, select “Find My School” on the left-hand links to determine your boundary school.

Deming Public School’s Construction Department will be working on several projects starting in April and continuing throughout the year. Construction contractors/workers are required to have security clearance and wear ID badges while on school and district property. Below is a breakdown of the upcoming projects.
