School Valentines Day Deliveries and Bus Reminders

Dear Parents of School Bus Riders,
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! The Deming Public Schools Transportation Department would like to remind parents in order to keep your child safe on the bus, please do not send your student’s balloons and/or any other large valentine’s arrangements that may cause a safety concern on the bus.

Balloons are prohibited to be sent on the bus due to causing no visibility for the driver to see throughout the cabin and large stuffed animals and characters may not block the aisle or take up room on a seat. Please make sure that any stuffed animals and snacks are able to be stored safely in the student’s backpack.
Also, please keep in mind food and drinks are prohibited on the bus due to choking hazards.

School Valentine’s Day Deliveries:

• Bataan Elementary will be accepting deliveries between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 14. All deliveries must include students first and last name, and their teacher’s name.
• Bell Elementary will be accepting deliveries until 2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14. All deliveries must include students first and last name, and their teacher’s name.
• Chaparral Elementary will be accepting deliveries from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14. All deliveries must include students first and last name, and their teacher’s name. Students with large items and balloons will not be allowed on the bus and will need to be picked up at 3:00 pm.
• Columbus Elementary will be accepting deliveries between 8:00 am and 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14. All deliveries must include students first and last name, and their teacher’s name.
• Memorial Elementary will be accepting deliveries between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14. All packages should be clearly labeled with the first and last name of the student and the name of the teacher. Parents, please only send smaller items that your student can carry independently.
• My Little School will be accepting deliveries between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 14. All deliveries must include the students' first and last name, and their teacher's name.
• Ruben S. Torres Elementary will be accepting deliveries between 9:00 am and 1:45 pm on Wednesday, February 14. Items must have student’s name, grade, and teachers name on it. Students with large items and balloons will not be allowed on the bus and will need to be picked up at 3:00 pm.
• Deming Intermediate School will be accepting deliveries between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14. First name and last name must be written on the front of the card.
• Red Mountain Middle School will be accepting deliveries between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 14. First name, middle initial, last name, and grade must be written on the front of the card.
• Deming High School and Mimbres Valley High School will be accepting deliveries between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm at the Hofacket Campus Gym on Wednesday, February 14. First name, middle initial, last name, and grade must be written on the front of the card. All gifts must be ready for delivery upon arrival at school.
• Early College High School will be accepting deliveries at 720 W. Buckeye St. until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 14. All items will be held at the Front Desk until end of day.
